I am an over 65, out of shape, DIY challenged woman and bought the bike anyway knowing help to assemble might not be available. I didn't see on the Amazon site where I could add assembly or I would have. That said, from getting the box in the house to completing the assembly was a good 4 hours over 2 days. An hour was spent getting it out of the box , unpacked and getting it ready for recycling or garbage and moving the pieces to the location where the bike would be used. Actual assembly was about 3.5 hrs. The directions and pictures were moderately helpful. They were written more for people who already know what they are doing. There is a warning that you should have 2 or more people for the assembly so I did have to get creative since I was on my own. Several pillows helped. Although some of it is awkward to manage, it wasn't really difficult to handle. I had to go back and forth to you-tube and study the directions for a couple of the steps which took up about an hour of my assembly time. The biggest challenge was the cables. The pictures were no help and I found the directions confusing. The package was short 2 of the washers. I wasn't going to return the bike for that and I didn't want to contact the company and wait for a couple of washers so I went to the hardware store. There was also something called a crossing wrench and I saw no reference to it in the directions so I have no idea what it was for but the bike is assembled. The "computer" screen works. Also, I am 5'2" and have the seat all the way forward to comfortably reach the petals.I wanted a recumbent cycle at a budget price for my basement home gym. Having bought the Marcy budget home workout station and been reasonably satisfied, I ordered this bike. It was easy to assemble and bears my 250 lb frame. It has a digital monitor (battery powered) that probably does a lot of things, but I don't use it, as I have my own routine and time myself using my phone. The bike is functional and works fine. The seat is adjustable and the tension is as well.My only issue, which is a minor one, is that since the bike is rated for up to 300 lbs and I am towards the top of its weight rating, when I use it, the front of the bike can wobble a bit when I am peddling. It's not dangerous, this wobbling, but it does make watching my videos on my phone as I ride difficult, since the phone is resting on the control unit of the bike which is between the front handlebars.Obviously, at this price point, you cannot expect a heavy, sturdy frame that will be motionless while peddling furiously, so I am still quite satisfied with my purchase, but it is an issue I wanted to tell others about.once put together the machine works very well.Great to exercise in front of TV. Easy to assemble and a joy to rideAssembly is somewhat difficult. Just getting the parts separated out of the box took almost 20 minutes. If you follow the directions, it will take 2 hours to put together and get working. The bolt holes do line up well, which is significant. I am not mechanically inclined, but got it together without mishaps, or bashed fingers. No parts missing and everything fit/works as it is supposed to. If you are just getting over surgery, it might be worth paying the neighbor’s kid $20 to put it together, as some steps are awkward.Function is reasonable. It is not as sturdy as the $2500 models at the sports store, but if you tighten everything up as directed, it is pretty stable. All of these bikes seem to be limited for people at the extremes of height. My wife is 5’2” and the shortest setting barely works for her. I am 6’1” and have to set the seat at the second longest setting to make sure my knees miss the handlebars. I believe the theory is to not have your legs fully extended, so for people with short legs, it might be worth finding someone who already has one of these to try out. We tried several high end models at the sports store and none of them could be shortened enough to fit my wife. We took a chance on this bike, as the specifications seemed to be sufficient - and it did work out. Most of these bikes come with length measurements (pedal to seat) for comparison. It is quiet and allows me to watch any program I desire on the TV.Electronics are very basic, but come on. Do you really need $1500 worth of electronics to tell you that you are getting a work out? The high end bikes give you every read out possible and create magnificent patterns in the program. Perhaps I am old fashioned, but the point is to get exercise and most of us can tell if we are sweating and breathing hard without having some machine act as a surrogate drill instructor. My biggest issue with this machine is the way it changes seat position/length. If it is just one person using it, then no problem. But, if you have to change the leg length every time you use it, as we must, it gets old real fast. It is not as simple as the write ups would indicate. Many other similar priced machines have solved this problem, so I am surprised this company has not. As I use this more and more, this issue may become a reason to donate it to the local shelter. Other than that one issue, we are fairly pleased with this purchase. Time will tell.I just received my bike today. Took about 30 minutes to put together and it was quite easy. I actually only looked off the main picture and did just fine. I thought there would be a little more resistance but for what I paid this is pretty darn nice. I can put my phone on the dash in front and watch shows or what not. I would recommend this product to anyone who would like an exercise bike but doesn't want to spend thousands in getting one.I was able to assemble myself (a woman in my 70's), but the seat post was welded wrong and would not fit. They were easy to contact and immediately agreed to send a new part. I waited 3 weeks, called again. They said on back order. I got it a couple of weeks later.I like it and it seems sturdy. Would recommend.I like everything but it’s a little light. But it’s not a problem and if you want to move it around you can’t have it both ways.Bought this unit for low impact cardio and not for serious training so this review is based on whether or not it meets that requirement. first, the order time from on line purchase to delivery was almost a week and a half less than predicted by Amazon. a bonus not anticipated. The unit arrived damage free and the packaging was well done and offered lots of protection to the various parts. The assembly instructions are clear, easy to follow and logical but it should have 2 people to do the job properly. Once assembled it worked flawlessly and has continued to do so for the last 3 weeks. It is fairly sturdy for the price paid and should easily hold up under the maximum weight listed for it of 300 Lbs. The factory settings for resistance are too low for serious stamina building but a simple adjustment of the tension cable will allow the user to put more friction on the wheel. This should be done prior to final assembly or you will have to disassemble the handle bar post to do it later. The data recorder is very basic and only records. It is not programmable and you can not use it to set workout goals. The timer is about 2 seconds fast per minute and the numbers are not illuminated so are hard to see in low light. The seat has ample width and the backrest has ample height for the 300 Lb max weight person but both are exceptionally hard with little padding. This makes longer sessions uncomfortable but they are fully adjustable for length. The seat adjustment system is cumbersome and can be frustrating when you are trying to line up the anchor with the holes. Overall. given the price and strength of materials, I rated it as a 4 when I considered what I bought it for. It does the job adequately to well and is fairly quiet and smooth. I am happy with it and when I had questions for customer support, I had them answered to my satisfaction within 12 hours by e-mail. We will see how long it lasts but I am using it about 140 minutes a week just for low cardio. I will be adjusting the friction upwards within a month or so now that I know how simple it is and we will see how the machine stands up under the new settings. Personally, I am quite happy with it and the hard seat can be overcome with a cushion.La parte de atrás del asiento venía rasgada, la "caja" de plástico en la que van los pedales viene mal ensamblada. Y lo peor es que no va ni una semana de uso y la correa de el pedal ya se rompioEasy assembly with the supplied tools and instructions. If you are a larger person like me it is a little short in length. Display is a little hard to read in bright light ie. near a window.Parts are robust metal with large bolts.Nuts are welded in place so only an Allen key is needed for the bolts. Weighs 70 lb. and has wheels under the front crossbar for easy moving.Very good value for your money. No operational issues. Very quiet. Works just as advertised. But, it is a royal pain the butt to assemble. Instructions say you should have two people assemble it. Not necessary. The other person will just be in your way.99% of the bolts are hex meaning you use the hex key provided. The hex key makes assembly VERY tedious. Get a hex style screw driver to save hours of frustration. Even better would be a hex bit on an electric screwdriver.Over all it is a great recumbent bikeTook about 2 hours on my own to assemble. A couple of the holes were not threaded so I forced the screws through, The cable needs to grabbed with a bent wire coathanger through the main front strut. The levelling 'devices' don't really work but once you sit on the machine it's ok. make sure you assemble the seat frame first then attach to the base, for ease that is of assembly. The controllers work ok, the display is large and clear. The seat and back rest are fine.I bought it reduced so am happy with it but I would not pay the full price.
